“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23, ESV)

31/08/2014 – Morning Service: Keep your heart with all diligence

Bible Reading:

Matthew 15:1-20, Ephesians 5:1-21

Sermon Outline:

Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23, NKJV)

1.  Why do we have to keep our heart diligently?

“The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9, NKJV)

Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” (Hebrews 3:12–13, NKJV)

2.  How can we keep our heart?

3.  Whether we keep our heart will have eternal consequences.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (Galatians 6:7–8, NKJV)

For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” (Romans 8:6, NKJV)
