Sermon Outline:
Luke 23:39–43 (NKJV)
39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.”
40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.”
43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

Westminster Shorter Catechism
- What benefits do believers receive from Christ at death?
The souls of believers are at their death made perfect in holiness,
and do immediately pass into glory;
and their bodies, being still united to Christ,
do rest in their graves4 till the resurrection. - What benefits do believers receive from Christ at the resurrection?
At the resurrection, believers being raised up in glory,
shall be openly acknowledged and acquitted in the day of judgement,
and made perfectly blessed in the full enjoying of God to all eternity.
At the close of every obituary of his believing children God adds the
word ‘henceforth!’

The resurrection and the judgement will demonstrate before all worlds
who won and who lost. We can wait.
