5“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

II Effect or blessings of bearing much fruit

1 – The first effect of bearing much fruit is that we will have our prayer answered.

John 15:16 (NKJV)

16You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

18If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.

14The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

2 – The second effect of our bearing much fruit is that it will be to the glory of God.

3 – The third effect of bearing much fruit is that we may be more certain of our own standing before God – assurance.
