       23     to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

       24     to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

       25     See that you do not refuse Him who speaks.  ……

       28     Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

       29     For our God is a consuming fire.

II Duty

Heb. 12:25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,

Heb. 10:24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, Heb. 10:25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

Heb. 12:15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God;

2Cor. 6:1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

Cf. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
