37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”

Maker of heaven and earth. - And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord;
- Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
Born of the Virgin Mary, - Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried; - He descended into Hell [lit., Hades];
The third day he rose again from the dead; - He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; - From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
- I believe in the Holy Ghost;
- the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints;
- the forgiveness of sins;
- the resurrection of the body;
- and the life everlasting. Amen.
