28/10/2018 – Evening Service: Indomitable faith

Bible Readings:

Jobs 11 – 14

Sermon Outline:

I  Less than you deserve

II  Mocked by worthless physicians

III  Indomitable faith

Job 13:15–16 (NKJV)

15 Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him. 16 He also shall be my salvation, For a hypocrite could not come before Him.

IV  Ch. 14 – life and death, death and life

Job 14:1–2 (NKJV)

1 “Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. 2 He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue.

Job 14:4 (NKJV)

4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

I have heard of people being afraid of the pains of death. There are no pains of death. The pain is in life. Death is the end of pain. It is all over. Put the saddle on the right horse. Do not blame death for what he does not do. It is life that brings pain.

C.H. Spurgeon

Jesus has transformed death from a dreary cavern into a passage leading to glory.

C. H. Spurgeon

The best moment of a Christian’s life is his last one, because it is the one which is nearest heaven.
