Past (aorist), perfect and present.

2.  The three prepositions.

FOR – Christ’ union with His people in their guilt and condemnation.

… the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

WITH – believer’s union with Christ in his crucifixion.

I have been crucified with Christ…

IN – Christ living in us and we in Him.

… it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
