28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
I We come to the Lord’s table as sinners laying hold upon Christ the Saviour
II We come the Lord’s table as saints, having been set apart to God and purified by Spirit
III We come to the Lord’s Supper as feeders, hungering and thirsting for the Lord Jesus Christ as the bread of life and the fountain of living water
IV We come to the Lord’s Supper as brothers and sisters in Christ, having common union and communion with the same Lord Jesus Christ
