A message from our Moderator, Rt. Rev. David Cook:
Many of you have probably received information from the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) regarding last night’s decision of the Coalition party room not to grant a free vote on the Bill which seeks to change the Australian Marriage Act to widen the definition of marriage to include same sex couples.
I have written about the implications of such a change to the Act last week.
Today is the day to encourage, and Lyle Shelton from ACL is asking that we contact our local members and the PM to encourage them for the decision which has been made.
We can be sure that those pressing for change will be making their views known to all.

Please be in prayer for our leaders and pray for our nation that as consideration is given to issues like Marriage and Education and Scripture in Schools, we will not be tongue tied in giving a defense of the gospel.
Pray for widespread repentance to God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
